Shop safely in our centres
Updated 5 November 2020
We are delighted to confirm that our garden centres and food halls are permitted to remain open during the lockdown. However, our Café Bars and pottery painting studios are temporarily closed.
Our number one priority is the safety of our teams and customers. We will continue to operate our strict Covid-19 secure measures including;
- Monitoring the number of customers in store at any one time
- Providing sanitising stations
- Enhanced cleaning of the store, trolleys and toilets
- Asking visitors to social distance and wear face coverings
- Accepting card payments only, no cash
Our teams are working very hard to help keep everyone safe and if you choose to visit us, please help us by adhering to the safety measures in store.
Comprehensive risk assessments have been completed in our centres, Café Bars and offices, which are being kept under review. We are following the guidance issued by the Government.

Keeping Us All Safe
We are keen to help you relax and enjoy time in the safety of your garden. To help keep everyone safe while shopping in our centres, we kindly ask you to observe our social distancing measures when you visit.
Customers who do not follow social distancing guidelines may be asked to leave.
Arriving
Please find the designated queuing area. We kindly ask that you stand 2 metres apart to help remind everyone to observe social distancing. We are limiting the number of customers in store at any one time. One of our team will let you know when you can enter.
Trollies are available and their handles will be cleaned after every use. We ask that you please use the sanitiser station on entrance and wear a face covering before entering the shop.
In the centre
We know our customers normally love to browse, but in order to shop safely and reduce queuing, we encourage you to shop efficiently. Please observe the 2 metre space markings and follow the directional arrows, which will help us keep everyone safe.
When available, we are able to offer garden furniture and BBQs on a ‘sold as seen’ basis and are offering an assembly service for BBQs only. We will uphold our normal guarantees and refund policy but regret we cannot allow customers to test out our furniture suites as they normally would. Our staff members will offer all the normal advice and guidance from a safe 2 metre distance. We are happy to carry products to your car, at a safe distance. We can also arrange delivery, but this may take a little longer than usual.
At the tills
Please push your trolley to the marked ‘trolley bay’ at the till point and step back 2 metres to allow a member of staff to safely scan your items. Our team will call you when they are back behind the perspex screen and are ready for you to pay. We are accepting card and contactless payments (£45 limit) only at this time. You can also pay with a Squire’s or National Garden gift voucher or a gift card.
We are not accepting cash.
If you need assistance in taking goods to your car, please ask and a member of staff will help, always at a distance of 2 metres, of course.
Delivery service
In-store & online purchases – We offer a local delivery service within approximately 5-7 miles of our centres. To qualify for delivery, there is a minimum spend of £25, with a fixed £5 delivery charge. Congestion charges will also be applied, if applicable.
